| Masters golf tournament
Master golf tournament is one of the four main professional golf championships of men. It is the first among the major tournaments played every year. The Masters Tournament is also called as The U.S Masters or The Masters. Disparate other major professional golf championships, Masters are conducted every year in the same place, Augusta National Golf Club. It is the private golf club of the Augusta city, Georgia, United States. It was Bobby Jones and Clifford Roberts who designed this golf club with a course architect Alister Mackenzie. Masters event is an authorized money event on PGA European Tour, on Japan Golf Tour and PGA Tour.
Compared to other major contests, The Masters Tournament is a type of invitational event, the admission being controlled and operated by Augusta National Golf Club. The winner would be awarded with a green jacket, which should be returned back at the end of the year.
