As the demand for golf balls are increasing nowadays, several manufacturers are entering this field. This brings out a lot of competition among these companies for a bigger market share. As the manufacturers are in plenty now, the customers have a wide range to choose from. Moreover this tough competition has brought down the prices of golf balls considerably down. The major manufacturers of Golf balls are Pinnacle, Dunlop, Precept, Nike and Callaway. In 2000, a company Titleist offered golf balls with the names, Balata, Prestige, Professional and Tour Distance and so on. Around 2004, more manufacturers brought in new technologies and design and introduced balls with the names NXT, DT solos etc. More and more manufacturers are still entering the market producing golf balls with new designs and appearance.
