| Water hazard
Water hazards are the natural barriers which are designed to include difficulty and beauty to the golf. Water hazards are similar to bunkers. Water hazards are usually either streams or ponds and they will be located between the hole and the teeing ground. There are mainly two kinds of water hazards; lateral water hazards which are spotted with red stakes and the yellow water hazards which are spotted with yellow stakes. Lateral hazards will be near to the playing hole, and the regular hazards usually cross the playing hole and it compels the golfer to hit above the water hazard. When the ball hits another hazard, then the player has many choices. The player can continue as the ball rests in the hazard. The player can opt for a stroke and a distance penalty by collecting a substitute ball. He can drop the ball between the margin of hazard and the hole.
