Women’s golf is very famous in UK. (LGU)  Lady’s Golf Union is the central body of lady’s amateur golf held throughout Ireland and Great Britain.  LGU was set up in 1893, when the Lady’s British Amateur Championship was played at links course of St. Annes and Royal Lytham. This inaugural event was conducted in hole-by-hole set-up and won persuasively 7 $ 6 by the Lady Margaret Scott and was awarded with an Amateur Trophy. The initial global Lady’s amateur was occurred in the year 1895 when England succeeded over Ireland   at Royal Portrush Golf Club. Additional fixtures were included in the Lady’s golf calendar during 1930s, beginning with Vagliano Trophy contest in 1931. This opening contest was played between France and UK. In 1932 another esteemed Lady’s golf fixture, a contest among Ireland and Great Britain and the USA amateurs, formally called as The Women’s International Cup was included in the list.
