Qualifying school

The term ‘Qualifying school’ in professional golf, refers to the qualifying tournaments or selection tournaments conducted annually to select the players to participate in famous golf tours like PGA, PPGA tours and European Tour. A limited number of players are selected in qualifying school and awarded with the membership for the tours. They are also provided with a ‘tour card’. Tour card permits the players to participate in almost all tours without attending further qualifying school.
It is very competitive and difficult to get selected by qualifying school. The players selected by the school become top golf players of world. There are four stages in qualifying school. Only few players reach the final stage of the school.  Players have to play up to or more than six rounds in this stage. It is the dream of most professional golfers to get selected in qualifying schools as the successful players of qualifying school can reach the top of the competition without any difficulties.
