| Wood Golf
Wood is a category of golf club used to make long shots and particularly to pull the ball from the golf tee. Previously, woods were used for making clubheads which is now replaced with metals. There are generally two classes of woods namely Drivers and Fairway Woods. Wood 1, which is lowest- lobed wood is called driver. It is used to make first shots of long-distance holes. While, Fairway woods are high numbered woods, which is used to make shots from a fairway. Ladies and expert players choose fairway woods with high number, since it can hit the ball more easily with reduced clubhead speeds. The club head is cylindrical shaped with a flat sole that drops above the floor without poking in while a swing. Nowadays titanium, steel and other composite items are used to make woods with graphite shafts. The strike of the woods varies between 7.5 and 31 degrees.
