However, Golf traces its origins to Holland and Scotland. During the beginning period, game was named as ‘Kolven’. By the 19th century Golf became popular in England and America.

This administrative body was previously called as St.Andrews Golf club in Scotland and remained as the ever coveted club for Golf around the world. The oldest as well as most prestigious championship of Golf, the Open Championship was conducted by this club. Currently, apart from uncounted club championships and national tours, number of golf associations internationally runs championships like US Open Championship, Masters Tournament, USPGA Championship, The Ryders Cup, PGA European Tour etc.
