Stableford is commonly used in golf as a scoring system. This system comprises of the points collected on the basis of the result at the holes. According to the Stableford rules, the aim is to achieve maximum score which is different from traditionally scored golf. The Stableford system was formulated by Dr. Frank Barney Gordon Stableford. The system was informally used initially at the Glamorganshire Golf Club and was adopted first in a competition in England. Stableford is a popular game which is played mainly in the clubs. The Stableford make use of different levels of points. The United States Golf Association has specified some scores. If a player scores zero points, then there will be two strokes over player’s adjusted par. The player can score up to six points. The player who gets the maximum number of points will be the winner. The International was the PGA Tour event that made that adopted the Stableford system.
