Skin game is mainly played by professional for wage money and amateurs for wager. In this type golfer has to compete on each hole treating it as a separate contest. A skin or called prize money is allocated to each hole. Game continues up to the decision of final skin.

In stableford golf type player gets points for the scores attained by him on each hole of the tournament. It goes like one point to bogey, two points to a par, three points to a birdie and 4 points to an eagle. Player with the highest points is declared as the winner of the tournament.

Team play type of golf mainly consists of two types of golf. They are foursome and four-ball. In foursome type two team having two players will play with one ball alternatively. But in four-ball type two players of two teams can use their own balls for the play.
